FICTION

<-- the ultimate in suspense, horror, and much wierd freaky stuff! favorite books: "Eyes of the Dragon," "The Dark Tower Series," -- audio and print excerpts

<-- another fantastic writer of horror and suspense. ( i like horror and suspense, can you tell?) favorite books: "Midnight," "The Bad Place," "Phantoms," "Darkfall"

<-- R.A. Salvatore... fantastic fantasy and creative uses of magic and interesting takes on some fantasy races. recommend: The Icewind Dale Trilogy (which continues with other series about the main character, Drizzt and more) and The DemonWars Trilogy (which i just learned has a couple more books added to the series... i was pretty pissed at the end of this trilogy, so i'm not sure if i will read the others.) here is another site with good reviews and places to order his books.

<-- quite technical at times, but great sci-fi suspense. favorite books: "Jurassic Park" of course, and "Sphere."

<-- fantastic fantasy series from (mostly) Margeret Weis and Tracy Hickman. there is only seven books in the core series, the rest is just background and extensions and fluff. here is the order that the main series goes:
(Chronicles Trilogy) 1: Dragons of Autumn Twilight - 2: Dragons of Winter Night - 3: Dragons of Spring Dawning -
(Legends Trilogy) 4: Time of the Twins - 5: War of the Twins - 6: Test of the Twins -
(Chronicles Late Edition) 7: Dragons of Summer Flame
--> Also, don't miss their other 7-book series, "The Death Gate Cycle" -- many eons after the earth has been sundered into four worlds, each respective to it's own natural element (stone, air, fire, water), the Sartan, who sundered the world, have disappeared and the Patryns, imprisoned by the Sartan, have escaped and have only two things on their minds: ruling the worlds and completely destroying the Sartan in the process!

<-- (no, he's not the actor, that's Piers Brosnan, silly) author of the fantastic (and lengthy) Magic of Xanth series. also many other series, like the Incarnations of Immortality. great humor writing in most of it, especially the Xanth series, but a bit overboard on the puns. check out his stand-alone books, too, like "The Caterpillar's Question". great guy, too, loves to help out aspiring writers. has personally answered my emails. BUT he is busy, so don't bug him too much, or about frivolous crap. he promises to answer all emails unless they get to be annoying.('nother Piers Anthony page with lotsa links.)

<-- DON'T PANIC! "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and it's following four parts make up one of the strangest and funniest sci-fi novels/series there is. and don't miss "Dirk Gentley's Holistic Detective Agency" and its sequal, "The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul." honestly... i don't know what else he wrote.... but good stuff here! -- quotes -- another interesting site (beware of the music) -- R.I.P. - 05-11-2001

<-- darkness! psychosis! and a ton of fun doing it! what else is there? poetry from "The Raven" to "Annabel Lee" and short stories from the classic "The Tell-Tale Heart" to the subtle "The Purloined Letter." we can very easily ignore his lifestyle problems in view of the literary genius and talent. one of my favorites!

NON-FICTION

<-- yes, my dad! a field investigator for MUFON (Mutual UFO Network), he wrote a book called "The UFO-Jesus Connection". highly recommend it if you are into UFO phenomena or are just curious about it.
---> here is his second page for his second book, The Global Implications of the UFO Reality.
"Are you willing to risk having your world view shaken?"

<-- more in the UFOlogy field. author of "Chariots of the Gods" and other best-selling books, considered an authority on the subject.

<-- he is not an author, but there are many books written about him. called "the sleeping prophet", he made many accurate predictions and revelations while under hypnotic trance. this is a site that has many of those readings he gave about all sorts of topics.

<-- one of the best and most accurate psychics in the world... not to mention one of the nicest and sweetest ladies ever! i wish i had a little Sylvia Browne to carry around with me and help me make the best decisions all the time. and to tell me where i could find SoBe Dragon. i highly recommend her books of healing and spirituality. i don't get into the "god" part, but with her, you don't need to. there is enough spirituality for everyone.
