FIRE WITHIN

A wolf on dragonback

To calm the skies

Set it afire

A blaze of peace

Flowing to the demons

That surround me

A piece ablaze

Set aside

Mine alone

Where I go to rot

And follow them down

To the core of fear

Where I once stood alone

Proud and angered

And held myself

Against the current

This raging torrent

This pup

Still trying to walk

Cowers in utter terror

In the darkest corner

Huddled against the subtle drops

Retreating from the pacifying

Pain

I hate the darkness

Yet fear the light

Forcing me into this corner

Driving me to

Homigenisuinsecticide

As I hide in my corner

Of the blazing sky

Mine alone

Keeping me safe

From the light I hate

And the dark I fear

And the being alone

That drives me away

Into myself

I withdraw the promise

I promised myself

Long ago

That I needed nobody

No one but me

And I would live

How I was meant to

Yet I'll reject my fate

To climb upon this dragonback

And set the skies ablaze

With peace and love
