The Pretty Rock
I was walking
And I fell
And as I fell
I saw a rock
A pretty rock
SCREAMING toward my face
It was kind of blue
Swirled
With dark green
Making a turquoise color
Pop out
It glittered in the sun
As if a diamond encased it
The rock was half the size of my hand
Rounded, like an egg
Or a miniature world
I even saw the people standing
Waving to me from the world
And the boats which sailed
Around the pretty rock
But that was just my mind
Playing tricks on me...
Again!
This rock, stone, pebble,
Whatever you call it,
Piece of earth
Looked comfortable at home,
Surrounded by its siblings
Smaller blue stones
Tiny green pebbles
Shards of charcoal dust and dirt
Perfectly framing the swimming colors
Speckled with silver and jewels
As a background
Trying to kiss me
And **THUDOUCH!**
The red
Swirled in with the
Turquoise
And the pretty rock
Didn't look pretty
Anymore . . .
It was beautiful!
