SECRET

Devon Terrier had a secret, one that would kill him. No, he did not have a terminal illness. Nor did he have a drug addiction, Nor did he gamble too much to get the loan sharks after him. No, Devon's secret was far more sinister: Devon had a cat!
It was an alley cat he had picked up while it had been rooting through his trash one day. The cat had tried to run, but he caught it because he didn't want it to run out into traffic and get all smooshed. He had named the cat Chester and kept him in the house and fed him well. Devon loved animals, but he couldn't tell his family, because the cat was all black and his family was too superstitious. He couldn't tell the neighbors because they gossiped a lot and would tell his family. So, the cat remained a secret.
Chester had tried many times to escape, but Devon was too quick and wouldn't let him out. No matter how hard Chester tried, Devon would catch him every time. And Chester became pissed!
So, Chester would just have to do something about this damn human that had captured him. So, one day, while Devon was walking outside, Chester made his move. He ran up to Devon and jumped. Not through the door, not past Devon, but on him, digging his claws into the sides of Devon's head and wrapping his little kitty jaws around Devon's nose. Devon pulled at him, but the claws started pulling and ripping his flesh. Chester pulled his fangs further up Devon's nose and Devon punched the cat as hard as he could trying to shake him off, but Chester would not be removed.
Chester continued to pull Devon further into his mouth and soon Devon would not dare attempt to pull the cat off, because now its fangs were on either side of his neck, around his neck, head completely submerged in the feline's face.
For over an hour, the cat pulled Devon further and further in, all the while, Devon was kicking and screaming, and Chester's belly bulged and spasmed with each kick, Devon's face outlined at the tip of Chester's tail. Finally, when all was finished and swallowed, Chester walked out the open door, not even bothering to close it behind him.
For days the cat wandered through allies over the city. Neighbors and everyone who saw the cat would say, "What a horribly gross looking cat. Why does it keep making those awful noises?" But they wouldn't say, "Hey, that's Devon's cat. Where is Devon?" Why? Because Devon kept the cat a secret!
