The Wolve's Den

Wolves are one of my favorite animals. There is a bit of mystery about them, and they are oftimes feared. Many movies portray wolves as nothing more than dangerous hunters, and bearers of evil things.

However, wolves are far from that! Yes, a wolf, when angered or hurt, can be very dangerous, indeed. But that is not their main demeanor. Wolves are actually gentle animals. They are very family oriented. The male wolf, unlike the males of many species, stays and helps raise his young. They are also monogamous animals. Once they pick a mate, they stick with that mate for life. And even once their mate dies, they will not choose another.

 

Wolves have the most astounding sense of loyalty as well. They protect their children and mates, along with the children and mates of all in their pack.

As a wiccan, I find that the wolf is an animal that I revere above all animals. My personality, and my daily actions mirror that of the wolf's. From how I raise my children, to how I treat my wife. I am fiercely loyal and protective, and I will be that way until the day I die.
