Hiya....Melissa here. I;m 27 years old, and I recently graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Master's in Community Counseling, and I have a Bachelor's degree in Police Administration, also from Eastern. I'm in a position where I get to use aspects of both of my degrees - I work with juvenile delinquents in a group home setting. I'm not finished with school yet... I plan on either working towards a Mental Health Certification, or perhaps a doctorate, possibly in psychology - or maybe both!

Until my Prince Charming comes along (If he exists :-) ), I'm single.... Know anyone???

I love movies, music, reading, and the T V show E.R..
I have an eclectic taste in the areas mentioned above. I like movies from Titanic to The Perfect Storm ( and many between - horror, comedy, drama, action etc., and anything with George Clooney!). Backstreetboys to Loreena McKennett, and many more...Pop, rock, Latin, Celtic/Irish, and even a little rap. As for reading, anything that sparks my interest - wheather it be pleasure reading, or something I can learn from.

I LOVE cats, but can not have any where I live, so I claim my parents cats -

I am Wiccan. It is something that I have not been able to reveal about myself because of closed minded people. I am a novice, and by no means am an authority on the subject.

People who are Wiccan do not cast evil spells, and do not sacrifice people or animals. The pennicle is not a sign of the devil, nor do we worship satan.

I am not Atheist, I believe in God, but I also believe that there are more aspects to the whole thing...I believe that we are all given gifts, it's just a matter of tapping into that gift...we all need to find out what works for us. There is no wrong in trying to find out who you are, what you believe, and being that person. This includes who and how you worship. There is only wrong in denying who you are or what you believe in because of what others may think or say. Be proud to be you!

I was brought up in a "Christian" home, but always knew that I was different somehow - that I did not hold the same beliefs as my family. I do not shove my beliefs down anyone's throat, and I in return, do not want it done to me.

I strongly believe in freedom of religion, and that means ALL religions. I feel that a person should be able to have their own beliefs and how they live their lives.
